Clamp Modification for T-Track
This is a modification I made to a set of DeWalt quick clamps. Originally, I had modified a set of cheap track clamps, but they did not have enough force to hold workpieces in place. The T-track is a style form Peachtree that will accept the bolt head of a 3/8 inch bolt. I use it to hold other portable tools on the workbench.
The first set of these had metal that was a bit too thin. This set used thicker metal so the base does not deflect as much or bend. They easily hold pieces of lumber while working.
