Gambrel Shed Kit Build
This is a shed I built from a kit in 2019. We wanted some storage space for yard and gardening equipment close to the garden. The gambrel style gave us some extra height and a loft area for storage.
The kit was pretty decent, but I changed a couple of things. I used a pnumatic nail gun with ring shanked galvanized nails instead of the nails that came with the shed. I used hurricane straps to hold the rafters in place. I also substituted 10 foot 2x4's where the kit had supplied two sections to make a 10 foot board.
In the later pictures, you can see where I used some siding to close the gaps close to the ground. This is hardie board siding so that it is moisture and critter resistant. I cut it to the profile of the ground (be sure to wear proper PPE). This has worked out very well over the past couple of years.
